The institution aims at developing such a philosophy to the students and improvises the field of education. This philosophy is the guiding factor in the design of curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular and non-curricular activities of the campus life. It is believed that for a student to be effective in his later life and to be a contributing member of the society he should internalize the traits of Scholarship, Character, Leadership and Citizenship.
Scholarship: Scholarly learning expands the boundaries of knowledge, insights and skills through applying knowledge, researching and discovering enabling a person to exercise his responsibility as a voice of reason and conscience in the society. Observation and contemplation on the creation such as the galaxies, the countless stars and planets, the milky ways, the oceans and mountains, the countless lives on the earth, the interconnectivity among various lives etc. helps one to conceive a sense of the ‘Mastermind’ behind the creation and a sense of a much higher objectives to achieve in life.
Character: It is the sum total of a person’s values, beliefs and personality which reflects in the behavior and actions. A good character implies durable moral qualities such as integrity, courage, fortitude, honesty, loyalty, behaviors and habits. The major factors influencing character are heredity, early childhood experience, modeling by adults, peer influence, the general physical and social environment, the communications media, and what is taught at the schools.
Leadership: It is the power to lead one’s self into fulfillment in life and to powerfully influence and inspire the rest. In contrast to being a hesitant onlooker or a passive bystander, a leader steps forward and takes control of situations in order to produce positive results. The visionary aspect of leadership is excellent communication and people-skills that makes it precise and powerful.
Citizenship: Every global citizen has a duty to address issues of social injustice, inequality and environmental degradation that take place across the globe. The TS EdCET (Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test) is conducted for admission into B.Ed courses in Telangana state. Here’s an overview of the typical admission process through TS EdCET:
1. Notification and Application: The Osmania University, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), releases a notification for TS EdCET.
Prospective candidates need to check the official website for notification details and then proceed to fill out the online application form during the specified application period.
2. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. Generally, candidates should have a minimum percentage in their qualifying examination (usually a bachelor’s degree) to be eligible for the B.Ed program.
3. Admit Card: After successful application submission, candidates can download the TS EdCET admit card from the official website. The admit card contains details about the exam date, time, and venue.
4. TS EdCET Examination: Candidates appear for the TS EdCET examination, which typically assesses their proficiency in General English, General Knowledge, Teaching Aptitude, and the methodology of their chosen subject.
5. Results and Rank Card: The results of TS EdCET are announced on the official website. A rank card is issued to each candidate, reflecting their performance in the examination.
6. Counseling: Based on the ranks obtained in TS EdCET, candidates are called for counseling. During counseling, candidates can choose their preferred colleges and specializations based on their ranks and availability of seats.
7. Document Verification: Candidates need to present original documents for verification during the counseling process. This typically includes certificates, mark sheets, and other relevant documents.
8. Web Options Entry: After document verification, candidates have to exercise web options, indicating their choices of colleges and courses. They can prioritize their preferences based on availability and their ranks.
9. Seat Allotment: The seat allotment process takes place after candidates have exercised their web options. Seats are allotted based on the candidate’s rank, preferred choices, and the availability of seats in the chosen colleges.
10. Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation: Candidates allotted seats need to pay the prescribed admission fee to confirm their admission. This is usually done online through the designated payment gateway.
11. Reporting to College: After the fee payment, candidates need to report to the allotted college within the specified period. They should submit the required documents and complete the admission formalities.
12. Commencement of Classes: Once the admission process is completed, the academic session begins as per the schedule of the respective university or college.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates, and it’s crucial to be aware of the key dates and deadlines throughout the TS EdCET admission process.
B. Ed Royal College of Education has been offering B.Ed course with two units (Each Unit with 50 Seats), thus our total intake is 100 seats. RCE has permission of Government of Telangana, approval of NCTE and affiliated with Osmania University. The Duration of the course is two academic years and the medium of instruction is English. RCE course fee is as per the norms of the Govt. of Telangana, AFRC- TS and Osmania University.
